Happy May the 17th! For those of us in England, this date holds much significance; we can finally eat indoors and shield from the British rain and wind, we can hug again and best of all, we can go away on leisure holidays (and plan them!). For those of you not in England, this date might not be all that exciting, but regardless, a little travel inspo never hurt anyone!

Here are 4 amazing destinations to add to your bucket list:

Victoria Falls

Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is one of the 7 Wonders of the World. The breathtaking waterfall is considered to be one of the largest in the world. It is approximately twice as deep and wide as Niagara Falls, spanning the entire breadth of the Zambezi River at one of its widest points. Wondering which bordering country to visit to access Victoria Falls? The answer is both! To get an overall view of the waterfall, visit Zimbabwe. However, the view from Zambia is equally impressive and offers an entirely different angle. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can climb down to the river’s edge to the Boiling Point or you can take a microlight flight over it.

Seychelles

The Seychelles is an extensive group of islands located in the Somali Sea. Known for its gorgeous scenic beaches and tropical weather, it is the perfect destination to truly relax and switch off from the busyness of life. The Seychelles is made up of 115 islands, yes 115! If you want to hop around, we recommend that you start on one of the main islands. Mahé has got lots to explore, Morne Seychellois National Park has extensive hiking trails and there are many botanical gardens and rum distilleries to see. For a true experience of The Seychelles’ diverse wildlife, Bird Island is a MUST! It is a true paradise; think coconuts en masse, warm sand and chalets disconnected from signal service.

Malawi

Situated in Southeastern Africa, Malawi is known for its wildlife, forests and beautiful mountainous sights. Wherever you go is bound to be a great experience depending on the kind of holiday you want. If you’re more inclined to want to be in nature, you can take a coffee farm tour in Mzuzu or go on mountain tours. If you’re more a beach holiday girl, then Lake Malawi is perfect for you. Known for its beautiful beach resorts, you can also experience a range of water sports such as snorkelling and scuba diving.

Luxor

If you love history, then Luxor has to go on your list! It is a city on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. Built on the ruins of the ancient city of Thebes, the capital of the ancient Egyptian empire. The city surrounds two surviving ancient monuments; the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. As a city rooted in such history, you can imagine that there is so much to see. Make sure to visit the Luxor Museum as a great starting place for your journey through history.
