Actress and comedienne of 'Girls Trip' fame Tiffany Haddish decided to pay homage to her heritage at The Oscars Sunday night, dressing it up in a gorgeous Eritrean gown in honor of her late father.

The talented Tiffany told People magazine that she had promised her father that if she was ever invited to attend the Academy Awards, she would honor her Eritrean roots.

The actress rocked a gown inspired by the zuria, an embroidered and often hooded dress which common among the Tigrinya people of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
