This Student Made A Body Lava Alternative Using Baby Oil

Fenty Beauty is here to stay. The cosmetics company spearheaded by Barbadian songstress Rihanna is a hit on social media and in the stores. However, the release of Fenty's Body Lava stretched the limits of its popularity.

Setting you back $59, people started to question if the brand was worth the hype. Many took to Twitter to complain about the price. Jackie Aina gave the product a mixed review, agreeing with others that it felt sticky.

While there are plenty of better value alternatives to Fenty Beauty's Body Lava on the market, one makeup fan decided to take things a step further.

Pasadena City College student Aleah Jackson set Twitter ablaze when she released a video of herself making a Body Lava alternative. Jackson used regular baby oil and Jackie Aina x Artist Couture La Peach highlighter to make her alternative luminizer.

With almost 5 million views (and counting), the aspiring beauty blogger became famous overnight. Speaking to Allure, Jackson said:

"As a college student, I'm not always able to afford the things I want. So on the spur of the moment, I made this very simple concoction for all ladies and men who are on a budget like myself to shine!"

It's still possible to look great on a budget, and Aleah's beauty hack inspired many YouTubers to try her method and share their results.
