Making of the Selena Corset

The stunning Selena Corset Top is one our favourite new arrivals! Versatile enough to wear from day to night, this top can pair perfectly with a huge range of outfit combinations.

We really wanted to create something structured that would fit comfortably on all sizes, whilst still giving off the feminine energy that we love so much!

The highlight of this garment is the ruffle on the bust, adding delicate femininity whilst reducing the rigidity of the classic corset style. The Selena is a perfect white summer staple for a fresh, flirty feel!

MAKING OF THE PATTERN

The first step of crafting our stunning Selena corset was to make the perfect pattern. Using dot and cross paper and our curved pattern ruler, we carefully measured and sketched each element of the corset design, creating a pattern as unique as the Selena.

PATTERN CUTTING

Once the pattern was complete, it was time to cut out the pieces from our specially selected white fabric. After a little time and a lot of tape (to avoid damaging the fabric with pins!), each section of the Selena started to emerge.

The pattern pieces are placed carefully to reduce fabric waste The pattern pieces are attached to the fabric with tape

PRESSING OF THE CORSET TOP PARTS

To get the most out of our crisp white fabric, each part of the Selena corset top had to be pressed…

TIME TO SEW THE PARTS TOGETHER

One of our talented seamstresses took to the machine, using her impeccable skills to pull together each element of the Selena corset top.
