Island Pride is well known Caribbean Restaurant in Rockville. The restaurant is very hidden away and the locals prefer it that way so that they can keep all the deliciousness to themselves. The flavours are very impressive and spot on when it comes to authenticity, but they do lack a bit in presenting the dishes. The signature Jamaican Caribbean dish of Island Pride is “oxtail and boy” - is it mouth-watering delicious!
Island spice is an amazing Jamaican restaurant in Maryland that caters for Vegetarians as well (yay veggies!). If you are in a hurry or you need food immediately then this probably isn’t the place for you - you do have to wait a while for your food as they make everything fresh (which is a good thing as well) but it gives you peace of mind that you are not eating yesterday’s stale leftovers. The wait is well worth it as all the superb Jamaican food flavours all comes together to hit the spot perfectly.
You better come hungry when visiting Tropicana Eatery, located in Siler Springs, Maryland. It’s no wonder there is normally a limited variety on the menu - most of the meals are sold out for the day.
From the outside, Tropicana Eatery looks almost dull – a look that does not give the restaurant justice! The Jamaican food is perfectly cooked; the flavours are spot on and just perfectly delicious!
Caribbean Grill is all about yummy food. Being situated in the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront, Maryland, it gives you an amazing view to look at while you dine. Caribbean Grill is owned by Jamaicans so you know the food should be good, and boy is it good! Wholesome homey food that hits the spot and all the flavours come together in one perfect dish!
Caribbean Sea Restaurant - located in New Hempshire Avenue, Takoma Park - serves amazing Caribbean food – specialising in fresh seafood dishes with the authentic Jamaican flavours. The seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked, although some of the side salads looks like it has been standing all day… it is still sinfully delicious.
What U Makin Jamaican can be found in W Bel Air Avenue. Inspired by the owner’s favourite restaurant in Jamaica it is no wonder the flavours are superb. The presentation might need some work but other than that there are no complaints. With friendly staff, good music and great food, you will be in for a yummy experience at this Jamaican restaurant.
You can find Jamaican Country Kitchen in Annapolis Road, Maryland. The food could not be better. Wholesome, homey, spicy food (not too spicy) that hits the spot although the staff could smile more every now and then, other than the moody staff members you are in for a “mmmmmm” reaction after every single bite.
