South Africa is one of the most mesmerizing countries in the world. There is so much to do and so many beautiful things to see. Let Grass-fields show you the best places to visit in the Rainbow Nation:

Table Mountain

The iconic Table Mountain stands 3560ft high and is known for its distinctive flat top. This landmark is popular with tourists and locals alike that like to ride the cable car or hike to the top of the mountain to enjoy the magnificent view of Cape Town. Hear about why Table Mountain is so special from vloggers RoomsForAfrica

Robben Island

Robben Island is known to be an emotional pilgrimage where the late great Nelson Mandela spent 26 years of his life fighting for the rights of his people. You can take a ferry to the island, where you can visit the prison and see what it is like on the inside. Tour guides are there to fill you in on the history of the prison and the island.

Watch former POTUS Barack Obama's 'humbling' visit to Robben Island back in 2013.

Cango Caves

The Cango Caves in the Swartberg Mountains, roughly 30km from Oudshoorn is a perfect sightseeing destination if you enjoy going underground. These 20-million-year-old caves are full of hidden chambers that cut deeply into the solid limestone rock layers. Your tour guide will be able to explain the whole history of these mesmerizing caves. There is so much history and beauty in these caves that will keep you intrigued for hours! Watch Anke Heldmann explore the caves!

Addo Elephant National Park

It wouldn't really be a guide to travel hotspots in South Africa without a bit of wildlife, would it? So, behold The Addo Elephant National Park, home to over 500 elephants, and a whole smattering of lions, black rhinos, hyenas, buffalos, zebras, and antelopes.

Get up close and personal with the majestic creatures by not only walking between the elephants, but patting and feeding them too! This is an amazing experience and definitely a must if you get the opportunity. Watch Alan and Annette share their experience at The Addo Elephant National Park.

The Big Hole

The Big Hole is in Kimberly and it is one of the world’s largest hand dug excavation sites. The hole was mined about 800 meters deep and in its time about 2.7 tons of diamonds have been removed! The Eureka - the first recorded South African diamond - is on display in the onsite museum. Why not sift through some gravel to see if luck is on your side?

The Palace of the Lost City

If you are looking for a luxury getaway, The Palace of the Lost City in South Africa's Sun City is most definitely the place to go.
